“Hyacinth” (2007)
Text by Edna St Vincent Millay. Originally part of the song cycle Edna Songs for String Quartet and Voice commissioned by soprano Ann Moss for the inaugural CMASH – New American Chamber Music concert in San Francisco, 2008.

“Only until this cigarette is ended” (2013)
Text by Edna St Vincent Millay. Originally part of the song cycle High and Low written for pianist Cheryl Cellon Lindquist and soprano Jennifer Piazza Pick and was premiered in San Antonio, TX in 2013.

“If I Were a Bell” – Frank Loesser (1950) (arr. Liam Wade 2018)
This is a song I have played many, many times with my friends at the Round Guys Wednesday night bebop jazz session in Lansdale, PA. This arrangement is inspired by pianist Red Garland’s performance on the 1958 album, Relaxin’ with the Miles Davis Quintet, as well as the original Guys and Dolls score.

“Whisper Not” – Benny Golson (1956) (arr. Liam Wade 2018)
Benny Golson is a fellow Philadelphian musician and one of my all-time favorite composers. This arrangement is inspired by 1958 Art Blakey & the Jazz Messengers performances, as well as the 1958 recording from pianist Wynton Kelly.
